The Pretty Muddy run includes a number of obstacles including the muddy slide.
Stressline’s unofficial running squad, lovingly nicknamed the Pink Panthers, have raised nearly £350 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy event at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire.
The three-strong team made up of Jill Humphrey and Steph Langston from the sales team, and Company Accountant Gemma Wilson went along to Prestwold hall on the 8th May and donned their pink outfits before embarking on the 5k obstacle course.
I am thrilled to have taken part – It was Mudtastic!Steph Langston - SalesThe Pretty Muddy event is part of Cancer Research’s ‘Race for Life’ series of women-only events designed to raise money for research into all 200 types of cancer.
The Prestwold Hall event obstacles included the mud slide, cargo net, muddy tunnels, and pink space hoppers amongst others, and on the day the Pink Panthers took part, they also had the blistering heat to contend with.
Pretty Muddy newbie Steph Langston explains the challenges they faced:
“It was a great day, and well worth while, but the heat made it a different challenge to what I was expecting. I thought a lot of the mud would have dried, but it hadn’t really and the sun zapped our energy, but I am thrilled to have taken part – it was mudtastic!”
This was the second year that the Stressline Pink Panthers had taken part following a great success last year, when asked if the Pink Panthers would reunite for a 2017 Race for Life event, Steph enthusiastically confirmed:

The girls raised nearly £350 for Cancer Research UK.
“Yes, definitely, it is such a great cause, and the events that are put on are great fun. Hopefully we can top £500 next year!”
Here at Stressline, we completely agree with Steph’s sentiments and are really proud of the girls’ involvement. Well done!
